Stunning details illuminate nerve cell damage

July 3, 2006

Our work on the development and use of antibody chemically functionalized quantum dot nanocrystals for specific labeling and high resolution imaging of neural cells, specifically neurons and astrocyte neuroglia, was featured in the Summer 2006 issue of PULSE magazine. PULSE highlights and discusses on going research being done at the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. The work in this news story followed the publication of our methods in an invited article in the Journal of Neuroscience.
